HSE Schools Foundation welcomes new Executive Director

Mar 28, 2018

The Hamilton Southeastern Schools Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce that long-time Fishers community member and non-profit business professional Justin Hirnisey has joined the Foundation as its new Executive Director.  Justin brings with him a wealth of non-profit leadership experience in various industries, with expertise in the areas of strategic planning, community engagement, revenue development, marketing, advertising, public relations, and branding.  He and his wife Leigh have been members of the Fishers community since 2005.  Justin is eager to advance a strong vision for the Foundation’s future:

“I look forward to working with our Board of Directors and our talented staff of Jodi Osmun and Kristen Wolf to continue the growth-oriented and mission-driven activities that have been our focus since the Foundation’s inception in 2001.  We will embrace new opportunities to collaborate with district stakeholders and to leverage the incredible philanthropic and charitable drive within our community.  I pledge to communicate and collaborate regularly with school leaders, parents, alumni, community leaders, and the business community to increase the Foundation’s footprint and directly support our students and educators.”

One such collaboration will occur through Freedom Kolb, who left her role leading the Foundation in December of last year to join the Hamilton Southeastern School District as its Special Projects Officer.  The Foundation will interface directly with Freedom as she spearheads efforts to support student success including school counseling, equity and inclusion, and experiential learning.  You can follow the HSE Student Success Team on Facebook and Twitter.

The Foundation’s two other staff members will continue to play key roles.  Jodi Osmun serves as the Foundation’s Fund Development Director, which capitalizes on her expertise in cultivating donor and sponsor engagement.  During her tenure with the Foundation, Jodi’s efforts have resulted in a significant growth in funding, and she most recently led the Foundation as its Interim Executive Director.  Kristen Wolf joined the Foundation in February 2018 as its Office Manager and brings a unique perspective as both a parent and former teacher in our district.  Kristen’s primary focus is supporting database analytics, donor outreach, social media platforms, and the Foundation’s website.

This is an exciting time of growth for the Foundation, and we invite you to join us in welcoming our new Foundation staff.  Justin will be connecting personally with Foundation stakeholders over the next several weeks, and he welcomes your input on our most pressing priorities.  We are deeply grateful for your continued support and generosity as we advance our shared vision of enhancing education, inspiring excellence, and engaging the community to foster a legacy of achievement.

With gratitude,

Shelley M. Jackson
President, Hamilton Southeastern Schools Foundation Board of Directors
